Holland America Line (HAL) is one of the world’s leading companies in the international cruise industry. Ships are deployed around the world. Curently the company is looking for the following individuals to work on board their luxurious passengers ship:
Sailor
Requirement:
- Job Experience as Sailor on the vessel for min. 1 year.
- Having STCW/BST Certificate
Wiper
Requirement:
- Job Experience as Wiper on the vessel for min. 1 year.
- Having STCW/BST Certificate
Assistant Steward Lido
Requirement:
- Minimum 1 year working experience (job training) as restaurant waiter at qualified international restaurants/F&B Department
Clerk (leading to Purser)
Requirement:
- Minimum S1 major in Accounting or related studies from reputable university
- Having accounting job experience will be an advantage
- Strong leadership
General Purpose Attendant (GPA) Housekeeping
Requirement:
- Male / Female
- Minimum 6 months job training/experience as Laundryman, Room boy/Room maid or Public Area Attendant at Housekeeping department
General Requirements:
1. Minimum D1 in hotel school (code ASL, GPA-HK/GPA HKF).
2. Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. (code WPR & SLR).
3. Latest job experience should be no more than 2 years ago (code ASL and GPA-HK/GPA HKF; WPR and SLR).
4. Good command of English. Candidates need to meet the minimum standard of command of English. Testing consist of verbal, written and computerized test on grammar, listening and conversation.
5. Minimum 21 years old and maximum 35 years old.
6. Minimum height for male160 cms and female 156 cm.
7. Male / Female who are physically & mentally fit.
8. Basic Safety Training Certificate (for GPA Laundry Position-Hotel Dept).

try to get job that no need to pay in the front like in SBI IN CENTRAL JAKARTA, i tell you guys that is a good company, cause you no need to pay.not like the other. and the last one , say your prayer everyday.and believe it if you keep tyring , you’ill get it.

For anyone who wants to work on HAL company pls think it so much before, based information update many Indonesian HAL crew have resigned but I don’t know exactly what was happened. some people said, the problem was about the salary has decreased than ussual before. Ass. DR Steward before normaly get average 1800 to 2000 US$, not now. Gratuity system on HAL not working as Gratuity System working on other Cruise line company. Just info guy………!

Jika ingin bekerja di Kapal Pesiar semacam Star Cruises, hati-hati dgn agent yg cuman ngeruk keuntungan pribadi. Banyak yg duitnya dibawa lari.
Harap diingat juga, jika ada agent meminta duit lebih dari yg diperlukan, JANGAN MAU!! Karena jika anda harus membayarpun biasanya hanya untuk ticket PP (dimana tiket pulang hanyalah sebagai jaminan (jaga-jaga) jika kamu tidak betah dan biaya administrasi yg seharusnya tidak mahal sekali. Karena agent sendiri sudah mendapat uang dari Perusahaan biasanya.
Dan uang ticket + Medical check up akan dikembalikan.
Sekali lagi jangan karena nafsu mau kerja dikapal, apapun dituruti. Tanyakan kapan uang dikembalikan dll. Daripada menyesal kemudian 8sudah banyak kasus). Perusahaan pusat sih bener. Cuman kadang ada agent yg tdk bener. Pokoknya semua harus jelas, dan hitam diatas putih. Jadi kalian bisa tuntut agent kalau nggak beres begitu pulang ke Indo nanti.

Guys…just be careful with agents or institutions that offering great jobs on cruise ships. There
are some legal cruise line hiring partners in Jakarta like SBI for Holland America & Windstar, CTI
for Carnival Cruises, Meranti Magsaysay for Costa Cruise Line and Star Cruises and finally we do
have Barbership International which represents the most luxorious company in the world, Royal
Caribbean International (RCCL). This is the best company to work for, while I work for this company as
a Dining Room Head Waiter. As a waiter you can make around US$ 3000 to 4000/month. Isn’t that excellent?
Plus you’ll have a very good life under a nice American style management and employer. Not like Holland America or Costa Cruises which are garbage companies I used to work for. Try it and get out there…

Hi,
Actually I’ve tried to applied some jobs on cruise line long time a go, but since I went to wrong recruitment agent so that i got myself deceited, then turn my desire off to work abroad. But now since I felt difficult to make money here at Indonesia,and I’m really looking better job especially for my first baby who will born on next April,it really turn my desire on, to work aboard again! I,ve long experience in hospitality industry, I had work at many differents Hotels, restaurant or even bar. So please if someone there could give me some assistance or idea???

DEAR SIR,
I am glad to hear many company offer cruise ship job with interesting salary, but the think made me sad that I have not any experiences or education related to cruise ship job. Is there any position where you company need someone like me who self motivated and hardworker but none of experiences ? I only have an experience as english phone operator ( customer service) for over than 6 years. it might be useful in cruise ship position. Hallo all i just wana inform you that becarefull of applying job in pr meranti magsaysay, i was working there and when i had come back for the 1st contract this agency call me and they said they have a schedule for me to join the ship then they ask money from me Rp1800000 and then they give me an letter to do themidecal test but after finish medical they called me and said sory fro their mistakes that i dont have return date so they said that they cant return my money back, so they just return it Rp 600000 then i was asking how come its only Rp 600000 but they dont care about me and that really make me upset and it is very bad experience i ever had, how come they make a mistakes and they are not responsible for that, why they make me paying all their mistakes why

gua pengalaman 4 tahun kerja di kapal pesiar dan gw mau bilang buat saudara/i yg belum pernah kerja dikapal pesiar dan kebelet banget ingin kerja dikapal pesiar jangan terlalu bermimpi indah karena pada
nyatanya kalo sudah kerja di kapal pesiar itu hampir sama dengan jadi budak yang digaji dan dikasih
makan belom lagi persoalan dengan kawan sekamar biasanya perselisihan itu terjadi dari kawan
sekamar dulu baru merembet kemana2 apalagi kalo loe kerja di HAL/SBI kebanyakan orang indonesia
nah kita tau sendiri deh sifat orang kita tuh kalo kerja sama orang asing paling doyan cari muka
tapi sikut kawan alias menjelekkan kawan sendiri di depan atasan tapi di belakang kita nah siap2 deh
ngadepin spt itu belom lagi kita musti siap mental dan fisik dan kudu sabar kalo ga sabar
bisa berantem baku pukul..oia di HAL kapalnya jelek2 coy jorok
