PT Mersifarma Tirmaku Mercusana (PT Mersifarma TM), named “Mersi” in short, was established in 1997.
The founders of Mersi came from different fields of expertise: health, pharmacy, business, and socio-economics; and with their pioneering vision and professional expertise, the foundation of Mersi constituted from a strong desire to endeavour in the manufacturing of medicines needed for large segments of the population. Mersi initially focused on the manufacturing of medicines to combat Neuro-Psychiatric, Psychosomatic and Mental Health Diseases, but the need for a much larger extension and augmentation became apparent. Today other important areas of healthcare are also catered for at Mersi and they include – Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Obstetrics-Gynaecology, Neuro-surgery, Ear-Nose and Throat Diseases, Dentistry, and the urgently needed advanced antibiotic therapeutic agents. Dedicated to the highest level of scientific excellence, Mersi has maintained stringent product quality checks and we are committed to the highest standard of ethics and integrity.
Mersi’s pharmaceutical factory sits on a sprawling land area of 28,000 sqm at Cikembar, Sukabumi, West Java, occupying buildings of approximately 4,300 sqm. The Government of Indonesia’s Ministry of Health through the (formerly) Drug and Food Directorate General of Drug and Food Control granted the Pharmaceutical Operating Permit to Mersi on November 26, 1998.

Aug 2007 till to date Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited
Designation: Metering Engineer
Working at central meter shop of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited which is the largest natural gas transmission and distribution company of Pakistan. At central meter shop domestic, commercial and industrial gas meters of different types (Diaphragm, Rotary and Turbine meters) are inspected, repaired and flow proved. These meters are flow proved by using standard equipments like Bell Provers, Transfer Provers and Test Meters to check the accuracy of the meters.
My responsibilities are:
•To monitor the daily activity of the meter shop floor.
• To give daily programme of meter inspection, repairing and flow proving.
• To prepare meter inspection reports within the guidelines of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (OGRA).
• To maintain inventory of spare parts for smooth repair activity.
• To perform calibration of the testing equipments (Bell Provers, Test Meters).
• To perform data analysis of Electronic Volume Correctors and do their configuration. (Mercury, Dresser and El-gas EVC’s)
• Involved in making technical specifications for the procurement of domestic Gas Meters. Also visited world’s leading meter manufacturing plants of Itron Company in France and Germany.
• To take steps for the improvement of health and safety of workers. To take measures for clean and healthy environment conducive for work. Ensure wearing of Personal Protective Equipments at shop floor. Conducting safety talks for the awareness regarding health, safety and environment in workers.
Dec-2004 to Jul-2007 Rupali Polyester Limited Shiekhupura
Designation: Shift Engineer
Worked at Polymer Manufacturing Plant of Rupali Polyester Limited. At Polymer Plant Polyethylene Terepthalate (PET) was manufactured at the rate of 105 tons/day by using Terepthalic Acid (PTA) and Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) as raw materials. The process consists of Esterfication followed by Polycondensation under vacuum and high temperature.
My responsibilities were:
• To monitor the overall process and maintain the quality of product.
• To prepare and implement weekly/monthly cleaning and switching schedule of plant equipments (pumps, filters, heaters etc.)
• To maintain the production of plant up to maximum by adjusting different parameters, troubleshooting and keeping waste minimum.
• Handled the shutdown and startup activities of plant under normal circumstances and in case of power failure.
