SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (SA)
This position will report to IT Coordinator – Exploration to :
• Maintain the Exploration and Subsurface Technical information technilogy sytems and applications, arrage system maintenance, enhacements, and support to ensure systems and applications work efficiently and effectively and to the complete satisfication of end-users.
• Provide a high level of Exploration and Subsurface Project Data Management including data loading, troubleshooting, bechmarking of system response, management of directory structure, and maintenance of data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain the Unix, Linux and network systems, assist with hardware refresh, and helpin maintaining the technical systems setups in accordance with SEO standart.
• Carry out day-to-day operations, address user requests, perform any trobleshooting to maintain the applications and systems, e.g. ensuring Application backups have run succesfully, scripting in Unix shells, maintaining the licence manager, upgrading licences, maintainining network connectivity to other sites for global license sharing, etc.
• Carry out regular systems maintenance, administration and monitoring.
• Maintain the directory structure (and disk space) in accordance with SOE standart, and assist with any data loading requirements.
• Write programs and/or scripts to automate daily tasks.
• Ensure corporate data are secure.
• Understand requirements of new projects and assist implemantation as necessary.

Qualificatons
• Bachelor degree in and appropriate Technology related discipline.
• Knowledge of operating system administration (Unix, Linux).
• Knowlegde of license management and monitoring software.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages, including Unix shell programming, C/C++, Visula Basic, Javascript or Perl, and Understanding of TCP/IP and Windows LAN networking.
• Working knowledge of SQL.

Experience
• 3 years experience as an IT Professional is required.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, and familiarity with Geosciences applications (GeoFrame, VoxelGeo) is preferred, but not essential.

General Qualifications
• Fluency in written and spoken English is must.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong communication, personal and interpersonal skill.
• Self motivated, hish initiative and adaptability.
• Ability to work in a multidiscipline team environtment and take responsibility for a defined area.
